Insulation on random couplings
Tye Austin:
I have one project where some no hub couplings will have insulation on them when I use the Multi-Point Routing command or the Connect Elements command. It happens to all the no hub services... There is no insulation spec applied to the services and when I click on the coupling with insulation on it, it says that a chilled water insulation spec is applied to it... I was hoping there is a couple places I don't know about in eVolve or Revit where there may be insulation spec info stored that may need to get cleared out... it's very frustrating.
EDIT: actually happening to any "coupling" regardless of material or service.
chris4455:
I have noticed the same thing on ventilation services where it is uninsulated duct and insulation shows up when using the same commands. I have not figured out what is causing this either.
Tye Austin:
Just an update. I found out it is happening to any "coupling" so all services. So sweat or propress couplings etc... weird issue. I have an email out to eVolve about it and hoping for some feedback from them.
dopefish:
Have you tried applying an insulation spec with no insulation?
Tye Austin:
Yeah... we ended up having to apply an insulation spec with no insulation on all services with no insulation. setting the spec to the default "no insulation" in the database didn't do it. Had to create an insulation spec and use that... weird. I'm sure Autodesk will fix it in 5 yrs...
