Search Items Filter Add In
« on: Dec 29, 2023, 19:29:23 PM »
Does anyone know of a add in where you can use to search properties. For instance : select insulation and pick 2"wrap, and it would select all the instances or fittings with 2" wrap. Or if you would assign a group of fittings a group #, you could input a group # search and it would select all those fittings in the group

Thank you!!!!

The addin VM would be able to do that.  Miclogic.com.  I think the grouping could be done by a filter with either evolve or VM.

Check into Diroots too. They have a very impressive set of free tools and Filter is one of them. I generally don't recommend freeware but they are an exception.

With VM you normally wouldn't need to save a selection based on Insulation Spec, because that's always at your fingertips, along with many other fab data filters. You could however save this selection or any other with Revit out of the box. See attached example.

I would also recommend Diroots to anyone using Revit. RevitLookup is also extremely useful.

Thanks for all your information. I am currently using E.M. and use DI roots often. Was just looking to see if there any other options out there.

Thanks
