TDC/TDF Fold Notch
« on: Feb 01, 2024, 13:57:18 PM »
Hi, so we are trying to set up typical tdf/tdc where the pittsburg is notched 2.5", the fold and 1/4" are 2", can anyone help get this fixed, right now I have 2.5 on pitts and fold, and 2" on 1/4, how can I get the fold to be also 2"

Your turnover is what you need to form the connector, and then the straight is what will cut back the seam.

Thank You Jona, that did it.
Do you think its possible to also only get 2" on the 1/4" also or you get both Pittsburg and 1/4 same?

You could try making the male and female notches in the notch setup different lengths. But I think that would require everything to be 4 piece.

Ok yeah 4 piece duct is no fun. That might come handy for a weird curb.
Thanks again.

brbuck2,

I was wondering if you were able to achieve the 2 different notch depth for male vs female?

no, I could only do both Pitts and 1/4 same, but different for the bend- I did a normal 2" notch then added 3/8" of straight (turnover) to complete it.
