Hole angle on dampers
« on: Jul 03, 2018, 15:06:59 PM »
Is the hole angle on dampers not working in 2019? I cannot get my holes on the right side of my 45 deg tap. Anybody else run into this yet?

Can anyone confirm? Is this a bug? The hole rotation does not seem to be working. Or are we missing something?

Post screen shot one of us will try for you and confirm.

This is where it is nice to have small software company (MAP) as opposed to big (Adesk) fixes would be quick

I cannot get the rotation on the holes to go to the short end of the duct. It works in 2016. Something either changed or got broke since then.

This also appears to be an issue in 2018. Has anyone been able to find a work around for this?

Confirmed on my version of 2019. Flipping it to 270 doesn't work either.

See Attached, I had to re-visit this in my spare time, is this the setting you're looking for?

You will want to have it here also and maybe create your own naming

I am having the same issue where the damper holes are on the wrong side.  We use a custom damper setup and there is nothing I can find to put the holes on the correct side.  If this is still a bug, how do others get around it?

This was supposedly fixed in Fabrication 2022.

Fixed an issue with pattern 7 (shoe tap fittings) that resulted in incorrect damper hole positions. Edit parts in existing models to apply the fix.

Interesting.  I was testing it on 2020.  CAM is on 2020 as well.  I thought 2022 CAM had other issues so I will need to check into that.

Thanks.

We rolled out a mass of integral damper fixes/improvements in 2023.

NB. Please be sure to check you damper settings if you're jumping to 2023 as you may currently have workarounds in place to accommodate the bugs in earlier versions.
