Reduce Pierce Point Size in a Nest Plot
« on: Oct 18, 2024, 19:28:13 PM »
I would like to reduce the size of pierce point shown on nest-plots (Nest Labels).  The pierce point is supposed to show the starting location where the plasma head will start cutting for a part.  This means one pierce point is linked to one part.
Our shop people feel that the size of pierce point shown on nest-plot is a bit too large.  When a nest plot is crowded with parts.  They cannot tell which part that a pierce point is for.  Please view the attached picture to see an example.

Our shop people feel that if the size of the pierce point is smaller, we will be able to tell that a pierce point is for a part, and not the adjacent part.  But I cannot find a way to control the size of a pierce point.  Please let me know if this is possible.

If there is a better alternative to handle this problem, please also let me know.  Thanks.

In our shop we had the same issue. I turned off the pierce points for the nest label and Show them on the part label.
It's worked well here.
To make these changes go to File/Print Layout/Nest Labels and right click in the nest graphic space and choose properties. Uncheck show pierce point then save and close. Go to part labels and right click on the graphic space then choose properties. Check the show pierce point box and save and close.

Thanks for trying to help.  Unfortunately, we don't use Part Label.  We only use Nest Label.

By the way, how do you add "Graphic Space" on a Nest Label or a Part Label?  I was trying to test this.  But I find that our label doesn't have any graphic space.
