I would like to know if this is OK to upgrade to CAMduct 2024.
Currently, we are using CAMduct 2019. Unfortunately, Autodesk doesn't support this version anymore. We need to upgrade to a more recent version that Autodesk still supports. The current version of CAMduct is 2025. As of now, Autodesk still supports CAMduct 2022, 2023, and 2024.
Because we don't want to get involved with bleeding edge technology, we probably want to stay away from CAMduct 2025. Seem like we "may" want to upgrade to CAMduct 2024.
Do you see anything wrong about upgrading to CAMduct 2024? Please let me know. Thanks.
By the way, we are currently using CADmep 2023, and Revit 2021/2022/2023/2024. I am under the impression that the version of CAD software doesn't really matter regarding which version of CAMduct to use -- as long as both CAD and CAM use the same version of Fabrication Database. CAMduct should be both backward and forward compatible with the MAJ files exported from different versions of CAD. I mention this just in case the version of CAD turns out to have an impact of which version of CAMduct to use.
