Stitching to coil line only
« on: Dec 02, 2024, 18:12:26 PM »
I have searched but I am not finding what I need, or not understanding what I find?

We are looking into doing dynamic holes at both the coil line and the fitting cutter.
The shop would prefer to have holes at the coil line with stitching, but the holes at the fitting cutter without stitching.
Is anyone doing this?

That may depend on your coil line. Our holes that go to the plasma cutter are not stitched and the ones for the coil line are not stitched. The coil line itself ( Vicon) does its own stitching, so if your equipment is similar, maybe that's an option? The whole point of stitching holes is to allow the metal have enough structural integrity to make it thru the various roll form machines.

I was just looking at the coil line software this afternoon. I was noticing the tab" size setting. I would assume if I leave stitching off in the DB and use the tab at the coil line? Is that what you are saying?
