Migrated to new desktop PC-from laptop-same version 2023
« on: Dec 16, 2024, 15:12:41 PM »
After this migration, when I attempt to run a report I get, "Unable to Save "C:/Program Files/Autodesk/Fabrication 2023/working database/reports/CADmep/Reports5.IRP

This location does exist on the new PC, so I am not sure what it wants. I have my laptop that I am migrating from right next to the new PC and don't understand what the difference is. Any help is greatly appreciated!

We had this issue after migrating to a new machine.

I follow what Darren Young has on his site here: https://www.darrenjyoung.com/2023/07/31/retaining-customization-during-upgrades/

Try this and see if this fixes your issues.

Does your IT group have /Program Files/ locked down? I can not do anything in Programs, Program Files, or Program Files (x86) without admin approval.

also try going to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Fabrication CADmep 2023\Edit Configuration.exe and see what folder reports is configured to.

Editmap.exe in your install folder.

I Keep my Database on C drive for Non-Network and call it CAD-CAM now.
have one for each year.

Just Path to your database with it and Profit

Thank you both very much for getting back to me on this. My IT department is working on this and as soon as they are done with all of the security and downloads I will see if the issues are fixed. Greatly appreciated!
