How to change locked/calculated lengths of an ITM?
« on: May 05, 2025, 15:55:39 PM »
Hello. I'm trying to update our current ITM dimensions to match those of our new supplier. However, it would appear the parameters are locked by a calculation. I attached an example of a round conical tee (CID 75), along with the submittal that I'm trying to replicate. Our current database has the length calculated to be B=E+4, and I need it to be B=E+6 in order to be accurate. I also need F=5 instead of F=4. Can someone please point me in the right direction on how to make updates.

Also, can updates to ITMs like this be done in Fabrication CADmep as well? Or can it only be done through CAMduct?

Thanks!

To change the formula, log is as admin. Go to the part and click on the letter. There are two tabs Dependency and Calculation. Look in the Calculation tab and modify from there.

Thank you for the reply! It would appear that our new CAMduct operator is not the admin, even though he has the only CAMduct license. How would we go about logging in as an admin?

Here's a link from the help file. There are several ways you can do this but this should point you in the right direction.

Thank you. I was getting a "This program is not for single-user installations" error when opening the configure user program. I was able to fix it by creating a "Users" folder in the database and can now log in as the admin. Here is a link for the fix:

https://www.autodesk.com/support/technical/article/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Cannot-run-User-Manager-This-program-is-not-for-single-user-installations-when-starting-the-Fabrication-Configure-Users-tool.html?msockid=2f8b1d2ace746458325009c5cfa76597

So now that I am logged in as the admin, I can right click on the ITM, select edit, and can now click on the calculated letters to make changes. Thanks for the help!
