Assemblies not showing in all views
« on: Aug 26, 2025, 18:31:53 PM »
After batching spools into assemblies, I had thought that pipe systems are grouped into those catagories by default in all views.  But yesterday, I was in one of my shop views and the pipe that was spooled was acting like it hadn't been spooled and you could click on individual pipes/fittings without tabbing.  I was trying to add some spool tags but it wouldn't see the assembly at all in that view so I could not spool tag.  I go to another view and they are there...  I looked at the different view templates but I cannot see any obvious differences that would make it not see assemblies.  no extra filters. Anyone know how you would do that?  I worked around it but it would be nice to know how to make a view ignore assemblies.

Assemblies within Revit can be applied to a different workset than the items within that assembly. So if the assembly is on a different workset, and that workset is closed. It would behave the way you just described.

Turn on all worksets and look at it again.
