Conduit Clamp CID# 838

Does anybody know if there is a way to get the conduit clamp type hanger from pattern 838 to host to riser piping in Revit? Or is this just a quirk with that specific type? It would be nice if it behaved like the slide (riser clamp) type. Any info would be appreciated, thanks!

I'm 99.9% sure that the only pattern within CID#838 that is able to be placed in the vertical is the slide pattern, like you mention.  Everything else is limited to horizontal piping.
