Inserting a Block on Hanger Rods
« on: Jan 23, 2026, 13:52:23 PM »
Has anyone been able to create a lisp that will insert a block on hanger rods?

I don't want to use ADDSERVICETYPEBLOCK because the block is not separate from the hanger anymore. I need them to be separate. We are utilizing the new HP Site Print to do some layout for hanger points in the field. I would like a routine that can populate these block quickly so that I don't have to place them one by one.
I keep running into issues with actually retrieving the connector points of the hangers, whether I use script or lisp. I've tried using the fabrication command "List" but all it gives me is this:

Description         Single Strut Trapeze
Area                0.000
Weight              0.357
Notes
Item Length/Angle   0.000 (inch)
Item Connector Location X Position
Item Connector Location Y Position
Item Connector Location Z Position
Connector #1

Any help would be very appreciated.

Are you asking for a LISP that will take data from the ITM and populate the attributes in a block?

And if so, why? Is the HP Site Print not able to just accept a CSV file?
