Does Est-Duct calculate waste on ductwork, or does it have to go through the CAM process first?

Look in Costing Database, then under Material Costs...

Got it.  Thanks.  Is that a one size fits all percentage?  I see where you can exclude/include it from straight duct.  We generally are used to figuring a lower percentage on straight duct and a higher one on fittings.  One other question about the straight duct, do short pieces (not off the coil line) figure waste with the fittings?  Right now my short pieces are calculating labor with the coil line duct, gotta figure out how to change that.

What we did was estimate our overall waste factor for both coil and plasma fabricated duct and used that number and checked the button to have straights included in with the waste.  As for the short straight pcs (ex:30") being calculated with coil, that was/is a problem for us as well.  I was told by TSI that that is corrected in the export to excel process, but have not found that to be true.

scg,

TSI told me yesterday that the short straight piece issue is addressed with an option/checkbox in the next revision.
