I seems to me, that some structural forethought regarding corridors, equipment rooms, and crowded overhead space could easily resolve a lot of coordination issues.  Most of the problems with coordination end up being "line of sight" supports from the structure above.

Anybody feeling me on this topic?

I used to feel your pain. When I was overseeing coordination projects in DC. Hangers were the most overlooked item during the coordination process. Everything fit, then the field would call with hanger issues....
