Help with "Setup Services"
(1/1)
RFultz:
I'm not sure if I'm going down the right road with the "Setup Services" see attachment. Does it look like overkill? I feel that maybe I'm missing the fundamentals of this setup procedure. Can anybody send an image of how he or she has theirs setup or give me some pointers? One of the major problems is that I can never get the program to jump to the proper material when selected. Like the 1"wg-Alum. It uses an Aluminum Service template and draws Aluminum Ductwork on the D-SALP-Alum Layer, but if I change to 1"wg-Galv. Service it starts drawing duct on the layer D-SALP-Galv layer but the material is still Aluminum unless I manually change the settings.
CJ:
I'm not saying my way is the only way, but your services are set up completely backwards from what I'm doing. ::)
Your using the pressure class to drive all the systems, I'm separating all the systems and using the pressure classes as they apply to the system. ;)
Maybe I need to come visit you all for a couple of days and help you work through this issue. :D
Andy Robins:
If you are using services to define the material, you MUST also set the Pressure Class override on the service, AND make sure the pressure class is ONLY valid for the required material, then if will automatically change the material fdor you.
