I have been recently put in charge of the database and my first task was to completely revamp our database to match the standards the guys in the newly opened sheet metal shop. Its been a bit of a headacke but is coming alone nicely. Have used this forum to get help in alot of areas that were causing problems. Thanks again.

I am a new EST-DUCT user. My background is with QuickPen. The company I just started working for has used the CAD and CAM parts of the software but has not completely set up the EST portion or used it. That's is where I come in-A bit iverwhelming at first!

Great site lots of crucial info in a nice simple package not loaded down with ads...I have only about 10 months experience at this point in the field of mech/plumbling coordination and the comp. just started using Cad Mech, so here I am! Very useful program...I'm sure once I figure this monster out it will be a huge help over cadpipe.

Maybe I should have done this earlier.

Thomas N Fuller II
CAD-Duct Detailer / CAM-Duct Operator
SMWIA LU 20
Evansville, IN

Joined apprenticeship in 2004, had 2.5 years as pre-apprentice, 7 months as non-union helper.
Completed apprenticeship in 2009 with two International Contest wins and one third place finish.

Been laid off 11 times, worked for seven different union contractors, and I've eaten my fair share of fly ash at the powerplants.

Began my new position in October of 2009 with only the required one week of ACAD training from my third year (2007) of apprenticeship.

I also teach Intro to ACAD as an evening class for Local 20, and I'll soon be teaching CCS as well.

Oh yeah, and I play the pipes.

:D

Welcome Guys,

Wow, there sure are a lot of you!  Have fun.  There is a lot of information here.  Don't forget to use that search function.  (It is a little tricky though.)
