One simple rule for vanes.

<30" = 2D Vanes
>30" = 4D Vanes

Rather than having multiple entries in my pressure classes or having multiple elbow types with vane types locked, why can't we have just one simple rule?

I guess because most people like to have their own rules :)

Yes, I understand, but I was just wishing for aprogrammable length on vanes that would apply to whatever elbow I was on (i.e. narrow vs broad has same dims but different vane usage)

It could be done with Scripting if you have it enabled

Why don't you want multiple entries in your pressure classes? This would be what they are for correct? I must be missing something.

Don't take this wrong, just wondering why. Not trying to be a smartass either. :)

If I put in a rule in my PC about 48" LS 29" SS gets 2D vanes, this contradicts a narrow way elbow that would need 4D vanes because they're over 30."

I believe the logic is based on LS/SS, not cheek vs. depth.

I just simply would like to see 3D vanes in rectangular ducts the same way I can in Spiral Ducts....
