Same here, but never thought of the spec implications.  Hmmm.

Hi Andy
Just downloaded and installed 2.38.197. And no present in the stocking :-(
When do you think we will get the rise/fall symbols in the setup services dialouge box ?

Any good changes in this version? Do you have a change file that you can post. I did not see one.

The 197 build is just a patch update with minor fixes, no new features, we are aiming for a LOK 18 major update first week of the New year.

Ensure you check out the context right click menu, there are some options there, these allow you to add the symbols onto a straight without a bend, as in a Riser, also to change ends.

I would same same as Rectangular would be fine!  I would like to see the Graphics of the rectangular in the Round also. But then again Ying-Yang is fine!  (I laugh everytime I type that)   :)

  My Opinion anyway! :) Anyone???

Andy, it would be the same identical ones for rectangular ducts, only applied to oval ducts... :D :D :D

I see that there are now added "numbers" to the Riser Fall symbols, but my question is how do you use them on a single drawing where ALL systems exists???  Supply, Return, Exhaust, Outside Air, etc...

We wanted this, but you would have to have many different database sets for it to work, as it only changes if you change the number in the database and that changes every instance of every duct in the drawing, don't think is even possible....  this needs to be, maybe, Service driven?....

It also didn't make it to the round....but I can see how that could be a little difficult to come up with different symbols for round....

Aren't these service based? I thought that was what was discussed.

So you have a supply service and set the rise/fall symbol for that service.
Then you would have a different symbol for an exhaust service. And so on....

But if your services were not set up that way you would be screwed.

All you have to do is set the airflow per each service and scroll all the way to the right were the tabs are and set the style.

TSI, hasn't yet.  Only to those who happened to have had renewed their support contract.  I was told next month (March) for the release of the lock 18 version for TSI.  You can get your codes sooner if you renew your contract early or so I'm told.

Ok, what happens when looking into 2 Oval ducts, lets say 24x12 and one is rotated 90 in the Z, so its 12x24, what happens to the Exhaust symbol, does it still go from bottom left to top right, and bottom right to middle.
Also where is a "corner" on Oval, i.e. where do the line go to? the start and end of the arc?

I have played with this for a little while and can see how it could be very difficult to implement...

If we use the "end" of the arcs that form the oval duct, it will work as long as the major size is not too close to the minor size...where the flat portion is too small...that would end up with tiny lines...

Perhaps other can also come up with other ideas...
