Is anyone out there coordinating in 3d and then producing single line documents for the field team?I have been getting feedback that the valves are too small and the domestic water and medical gas systems are hard to depict the exact pipe specification. I have been working to create single line documents but am having trouble with the combination of using hidden mode as well as allowing the single lines to break when crossing. Please help me out as I know that I am not the only one with this issue.

No, I am using centerlines and trying to change the line weight and screening to hide the outside lines.

If you do that, then nothing shows up unless you have centerlines on. I've asked before and didn't get an answer. Is there a way to show single line but not using the method above? I don't want to show centerline b/c then it shows it for everything.

I only want water and medical gas showing up as single line. If I change the size constraint my 1.5" vent will also show up single line until it hits a larger size.

Is there any way to change the setting for the break width when two pipes cross using the single line functions.

You could setup multiple view ports with the med gas and water centerlines set to plot in one, then in the other view port freeze them out and only include what you want to see as full 3d items.
If your view ports are set to "Hidden" don't the lines break when they cross? Or do center lines not work that way?

I'm not currently creating 2D but as I said before would love to if there was an easy way. Right now I'm just giving them plan views of the 3D model.

I draw everything as double line. If you are drawing it single line because of lineweight on the small double line, you may want to have two services, one for smaller pipe and thinner lineweight, the other normal lineweight. I have been thinking of going this way as well and may on my next large pipe job.
