has anyone used the new excel reporter on the tsi content site (the .xltm file.  When we try to reference it to the database we get all kinds of vb errors with the macros.  When we save the file as an .xlsm extension it locks up when it tries to open.  Is there something we have to do with the file.  We are on microsoft professional 2007 and cadduct version 2.38.186.  Could it be a version issue between cadduct and professional 2007?

jryckman,
One issue in MS Office 2007 could be that you do not have your "Trust Center" settings set properly.  Try this:
1) Open Excel from the start menu so it starts with a blank workbook
2) Click the Office Button at the top left, then click the EXCEL OPTIONS button on the lower right of the menu
3) In the list on the left of the Excel Options window, select the Trust Center
4) Click the TRUST CENTER SETTINGS button on the right
5) In the Trust Center, select Trusted Locations on the left
6) If you are working on a network, check the "Allow Trusted Locations on my network" checkbox at the bottom of the Trust Center window
7) Click the button ADD NEW LOCATION on the right
8) Click BROWSE and select the folder where you keep your TSI Est-Duct Reporter workbook.  Click OK, which brings you back to the window where you clicked BROWSE, and select the checkbox "Subfolders of this location are also trusted" and click OK.
9) Repeat Step 8 for any location that contains or could contain one of these TSI EST-Duct Reporter workbooks.
10) Click OK at the bottom of the Trust Center window
11) Click OK at the bottom of your Excel Options window
12) Open MS Office Access and do the same for Access that you did for Excel.

If this doesn't quite work, try this additional change:
13 a) In the Trust Center window in MS Access, select the Macro Settings on the left (which should be the second option under Trusted Locations)
13 b) On the right of the Macro Settings form, select the "Enable all macros" radio button.
13 c) Click OK, and click OK again.

Let me know if that took care of your issue, or if you're still having more problems, or if you'd already done all this.  Good Luck!

I have the same issue.  I've had to go back to using our previous version.

I found out the new version works but you have to overwrite the .iex files in your report folder on the central database to make the template work.

I was able to get it to work on one of our machines....but then tried it on a second system and am getting the same errors.  I even copied the exact same EST folder to the other computer.  Attached is a screenshot of the what comes up when I try to open the excel reporter.

I am noticing that every time I open the reporter it gives me different values.  This seems to cycle itself every 4 times the reporter is opened.  And it does not matter if I export another estimate.txt file between opening files or not.  This is consistant when using run base bid in both standard and beta modes.  I am using the latest reporter from the 2010 full install.
