So I created a sample Level Block and it looks great and works with the hover tool (THANKS BOB)....but I have 1 issue. How do you control where the CAD-MECH starts it's leader? It is not in a particular spot in my level block but it's also not where I'd like it. If I use it where it's at, the leader and trailing part of the leader are both above my block. I found some posts about this but never saw an answer.

The leader start point is controlled internally.Best bet is to use your own if your not liking it.

I was afraid of that. Can we add this to the wish list?

Should be able to give use another node at the top.

Back to the Level Block. I'll just explain what I want and you tell me if I can get it or not
I want the level block in my dwg to tell me top/center/bottom elevations of pipe which I have now, but when I go to tag it on my sheet, just want to be able to only tag the center for example. I know if I didn't have the level block in the dwg, I could use the database setting to either display top/bottom or center. But when you add a level block, this takes over and tags all that data. Any toggle here or something?

I am a little Monday minded today. But I think you need to create a level block to only pick up the centerline and use that block with your services. Not sure if that helps you.

My current level block has top, center, and bottom of pipe. That is for me to be able to see it with the hover data. but when I tag the elevations, for example, I only want center to show up.
Only thing I can think of unless there's a toggle, is to make the top/bottom in defpoints layer in the level block...but the dwg will still be cluttered.

Here is the trick, and don't shoot me, it happened when MAP tied the elevation hover info to the level block. Take the top and bottom attribute in the block and scale them really, really tiny so they don't show up when you text the levels but will still give you the hover info. I didn't like the idea either but it does work.

LMAO...guess it'll do for now. Should maybe be a toggle or something.

Not sure what drove them to tie the hover tool to the level block. Probably had to do with reading elevation from 0,0,0 or a soffit elevation or a different datum point. Anyway, I would like to see the hover information controlled with switches in the database, so you would not have to play tricks with your level blocks. But it is what it is and I actually almost forgot about it. (Until you triggered my memory!)

Another thing I was thinking of. I can do what you said to get COP, but say a PM comes back and says he wants the TOP or BOP or both and no COP labeled. Just trying to think ahead. I think there should be a way to do this with a toggle.

I didn't like the way the leader looked as well. So, I created a Rectangle around my attribute(s) when I created the Level Block. My leader automatically attaches itself to the rectangle and rotates about it depending on where you place the Level block. Works Great!

@MICK - that's on my personal list to have the leader automatically come in and do that, just haven't gotten that far yet. It'd be nice to have

The toggle to use a level block but still show default level text when hovering is in the Database. It is called "Ignore Level Block for Tooltip Report".
