cutting from sheets, on large fitting that the layout is close to 60", why the nesting does not simply turn the fitting 90 degrees to fit on the 120" sheet, it insteads thinks it can cut it out of 60" width, but with the edge clearances of 1/4", it errors out and cuts off sheet....?
anyone else have nesting issues on fitting layouts that approch 60"?

thanks:(

Same here. Sometimes I have one 60" piece of straight duct to cut that is not worth sending to the coil line and it dose not turn it long ways on the sheet. It tries to cut it out the 60" way so I have to rotate it .:x

We still have the rotation-cut-off issue, we are going to try to put in a very large margin to see if it will 'Force' a rotation, stay tuned.

also we cut off of sheets not a coil, do you have this issue?
in materials we have check box to select 48 or 60" x 120" sheets we don't use coil, we were told if you select 60" it will put everything on 60" sheet, if we were to selct 48" it was to put on 48"sheets and automatically change to 60" sheet if needed, but it doesn't it will put on 48 and segment the fittings that normally would not be segmented. we would like to use the smallest sheet possible to reduce 'scrap'
We would like to look at Sheet cut list and pull 48" or 60" sheets for the burn, not burn all off 60" sheets and create more scrap.

Under your nesting options, do you have "Allow Alternate Sizes to Avoid Oversizing" checked? Are you using a process to nest? If so, is there a difference between the nesting margins set in that process, and your general nesting margins?
